TIII Operational Solutions Long Range Precision

3 Day Long Range Instructional

TIII’s and Heartland Precision Rifle’s 3 day Long Range Precision instructional course We plan to conduct all three of our civilian long range classes; Long Range Precision 1 (LRP-1), LRP-2 and LRP-3 via a three day continuous training event. All of this will be performed in the beautiful Nebraska Sandhills, south of Merriman, NE or vicinity of Burwell, NE.

– Starting with LRP-1 on day one, we will teach you the fundamentals of marksmanship, ballistics, range estimation, scope utilization, and we will finish the day off by collecting DOPE / data all the way out to 1,000 yards on our large inventory of steel targets.

– Day two will kick off our LRP-2 instruction which focuses on wind reading, introduction spotter duties, utilization of ballistic apps, kestrels / wind readers, and range finders, scope hold over / off, max point blank range scope setting engagements, and an introduction to positional & barricade shooting. You will utilize all this knowledge to attain hits on multiple targets at known & unknown distances, incorporating various firing positions, through instructor evaluated live fire scenarios.

– Our final day of training will culminate with our LRP-3 course, which starts off with instruction and practical application on high angle shooting, shooter and spotter team building / proficiency, DOPE / data collection beyond 1,000 yards with plans to push everyone’s rifle to the absolute extents of its usable range. .308’s can be on steel at 1500 yards, higher BC rounds and big bores can shoot out well beyond a mile! We will incorporate stress shoots, and a Long Range qualification course of fire. * We would like to leave enough time on the tail of day 3 for you to just enjoy the scenery and engage targets at your discretion and leisure.

Our goal is to send everyone home from our class with world class training that can be sustained and practically utilized in the future. We promise to get everyone on steel at a minimum of 800 yards, rifle and scope dependent, but we do not plan to see students leave our course without banging steel beyond 1,100+ yards with steel out to 2000 yards and beyond. As always, we will have a common sense instructor to student ratio, with military qualified snipers or civilian competition shooters providing spotter and instruction duties.

This is a remote area of Nebraska, with little to no amenities within driving distance. This will be an event in which primitive camping on site will be encouraged; meals are being coordinated if you would like to have them provided as part of your course cost. Resources such as water, snacks, shelter / tents, will not be provided… this is the Sandhills in all of its glory.

* You may bring your pop up campers and RV’s…but there are no hook ups of any sorts

* We will allow you the use of ATV’s and UTV’s to transport yourself on the ranch, but must sign hold harmless agreement and carry a fire extinguisher.

* YOU CAN ATTEND JUST ONE SPECIFIC CLASS / DAY IF YOU PREFER

*Onsite camping is offered by the landowner at $25 a day

*We are also working on possible coordination of evening meals to be offered by the landowner as well; a slab of Nebraska beef with sides will be the likely offering.
