Prerequisite – TIII’s Introduction to Handgun fundamentals course, Concealed Handgun Training, or previous Safe Handgun fundamentals training.

T3’s 8-hour Basic Defensive Handgun class is the first in our Defensive Handgun Series and designed for newer defensive shooters and concealed handgun license holders. You must have safe weapon handling skills to attend and we recommend, but do not require prior concealed handgun license training. This class is the perfect addition to Nebraska Concealed Carry and goes much further in-depth on the skills needed to defend yourself when carrying a concealed handgun.

The majority of this class is spent on the range refining handgun fundamentals, concealed draw techniques, use of cover, movement, and much more. The class will culminate with a scenario-based course of fire and an evaluated shooting skills test. Upon completion, you will receive a personalized training plan to continue your skill progression and prepare you for further courses like Nebraska Concealed Carry, Intermediate Defensive Handgun, or other classes.

Equipment Needed:

• Photo ID
• Concealed Handgun Licence (preferred, but not required)
• Handgun with two magazines minimum
• Quality strong side or appendix holster, (no shoulder, crossdraw, pocket or specialty holsters)

• Wrap around style shatterproof eye protection
• Hearing protection (electronic muffs preferred)
• Gun case/ gun bag
• magazine holder
• 350-400 rounds factory ammunition
• sturdy shoes, and suitable clothing for the weather (we shoot rain or shine)
• Pen, Pad, Highlighter
• Sack lunch and water bottle
