Our Extreme Long Range (ELR) curriculum was created at the request of numerous students and for those who have a “Big Bore” or magnum rifle sitting in their gun safe. We know that a quality rifle, scope and ammo combination are capable of amazing precision and capabilities down range, and when you place a Heartland Precision Rifle instructor on a spotting scope behind you, those capabilities begin to manifest at extreme distances down range; 1,000 to 1,800 yards. We will provide you the knowledge, instruction and the resources to make the longest shot you have ever attempted.

Our ELR class was designed as a natural progression style course of instruction, and requires students to be versed in the Fundamentals of Marksmanship, scope utilization, basic wind reading, shooter / spotter communication and an understanding of ballistic technology integration. We recommend that all students come through our Long-Range Precision 1, 2 and 3 classes as they lay the groundwork for all competencies required for this specific curriculum.

Due to the technical requirements of this training, and the challenges that Nebraska winds can often present, we run small 6 person classes / sessions which allows us to provide more individual attention to our students. We run half day sessions for this specific curriculum, 4.5 hours in the morning and again in the late afternoon. These time frames help us avoid early and mid-afternoon, which are often the windiest parts of the day.

*We train to standard, and not to time… if we need to train longer to put you on target, we will.

Rifle and scope rentals can be facilitated with prior coordination; don’t let a lack of equipment stop you from training
We have the ability to pick you up from the nearest airport if you are flying in for a course; requires prior coordination
