COURSE HIGHLIGHTS

***LE|MIL ONLY***

Tactical Medicine Basic (TACMED) for Law Enforcement is a 1 day (8hr) course that covers immediate lifesaving steps (TECC). The focus of the basic course is to teach the lifesaving steps that first responders need to treat hemorrhage, breathing/airway control, casualty evacuation, triage and more. The class focuses the three core phases of TCCC: “Care Under Fire”, “Tactical Field Care” and “Tactical Evacuation”.

This class not only teaches individual medical tasks and use of an IFAC, but gives tools to bring back to their agency to develop and refine care under fire and evacuation SOP’s. The basic course DOES NOT include live fire weapon training, force on force munitions or other simulated weapon scenarios, but you will be instructed how to treat while under fire.

An option with registration is a high quality individual aid kit (IFAC) worth approximately $130 that you will be trained on and is yours to keep. Please contact us if you do not require an IFAC but you should bring one to train and rehearse on. If you bring your own aid kit it should have the following items; (you will not use your own medical supplies for training, we will supply them for you to use) See Course Listing.
